Solar Power Plant-
India is blessed with rich solar energy resource. India receives an average intensity of 200 MW/km square (megawatt per kilometre square) solar radiations. India has a wide potential for renewable sources of energy, specifically in areas such as solar power, wind power and biomass. While about 10,000 MW is considered to be from wind power, the balance is yet to be realized by solar as well as other renewable energy systems. Capitalizing this vast potential, we have added to it with an installation of a1MW solar energy plant under the framework of Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) launched by the Government of India through Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC).
The plant is based in the district of Rajgarh in Madhya Pradesh, India. As per NASA this entire district is speculated to receive a decent amount of sunshine all throughout the year and has been topographically declared as a flat terrain land. The power produced from this power plant will be sold to the private companies in State and in accordance to the guidelines of PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) which is signed between the private company and producer.
